At Jump, volunteering is integral to our ethos of giving back — to our planet, community, team, and clients.

Today is International Volunteer Day, when we celebrate volunteers and promote the spirit of volunteerism at the local, national, and international levels. In particular, International Volunteer Day shines a light on the importance of volunteers in accelerating progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.

This year’s theme is “Every Contribution Matters,” which has a simple meaning: volunteering is for everyone. People of all ages, genders, backgrounds and abilities can volunteer — at Jump, we know this very well.

Our team is multifaceted, with individuals scattered across the UK. Yet, we all come together when it’s time to roll up our sleeves and deliver change. This year, we have surpassed our goal of 500 collective hours of volunteering, reaching a whopping 584.5. This brings our grand total since 2019 to 1585.5. That is a massive feat we couldn’t be prouder of.

Throughout our volunteering journey, we’ve had the pleasure of working alongside so many outstanding volunteering partners, trusts, and charities.

The Felix Project is one of the latest additions, but one that is already dear to our hearts. Packing and sorting through food that would otherwise be discarded, and delivering it to schools, local organisations, and Londoners in need, is priceless.

Our designer, Louise, has been volunteering for Bristol-based charity Operation Community Hamper since before joining Jump. Started as a Christmas hamper delivery for vulnerable families, today OCH delivers essential goods to the Bath and Bristol communities year-round. This year, they were even nominated for Fundraiser of the Year at the Pride of Britain Awards!

In line with the SDGs and our B Corp pledge, we work closely with two of our local Wildlife Trusts: the Cornwall and the Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trusts. Volunteering outdoors is hard work, but so rewarding: from removing invasive plants to building boardwalks and fences, there are few things as fulfilling as seeing the results of your efforts right before your eyes.

Our sustainability partners, the fantastic Belmont Estate, also give us plenty of chances to get our hands dirty. We were first drawn to them for their inspiring rewilding efforts, which have turned a previously barren plot of land into a thriving ecosystem. We’re honoured to be able to contribute to their rewilding journey whenever we can.

Nothing inspires us like giving back to our communities, and we are so proud of what we have achieved in 2025. The Jump team is part of a worldwide community of over 1 billion volunteers — each doing their bit to make the world a better place.

Happy International Volunteer Day from Jump!
