Here at Jump, we take our B Corp certification extremely seriously. We’re not only proud of our score of 119.1, but we’re also fully committed to the journey: the B Corp community is built on the principle of continuous improvement, meaning we’re always striving to be a better business and deliver meaningful change.

Our commitment goes beyond just volunteering or environmental initiatives—building community, fighting for justice, embracing diversity, and fostering equity and inclusion are equally vital to us and deeply integrated into our business practices.

As part of our B Corp commitment, we stand for B Lab’s JEDI principles: Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. JEDI focuses on removing barriers, allowing each of us to shine as unique individuals. By embracing JEDI principles, we foster safer and more inclusive workplaces and contribute to a fairer economy.

Principles like JEDI and DEI (Diversity, Inclusion, Equity) have recently become a point of contention, both here in the UK and in the States. In both countries, DEI and JEDI initiatives have taken a considerable toll in the past few months, making it effectively harder for marginalised people to show up to work as their authentic selves. The Jump Group stands firm in our commitment to everyone’s right to expression and self-determination, especially when it comes to oppressed groups like the LGBTQ+ community.

Systemic inequalities, both historic and ongoing, can create barriers that prevent people from reaching their full potential. To promote positive change, we believe in intentionally advancing JEDI principles within our workplaces and organisational ethos. Our global population is wonderfully diverse in countless visible (and invisible) ways: JEDI initiatives are a universal priority for us.

Last Sunday marked the beginning of Pride Month, the yearly celebration of the queer community that takes place every June. Although the specific events and dates might differ among countries, regions, and cities, the essence of Pride is unwavering, championing equality, diversity, and acceptance. Pride Month provides a fantastic opportunity to uplift LGBTQ+ voices and celebrate the strides made toward a more inclusive society.

For us, celebrating Pride Month isn’t about virtue signalling or ticking a metaphorical inclusivity box: it’s about showing genuine care and commitment to the LGBTQ+ community by pursuing an authentically inclusive and fair way of doing business.

That’s why this year we’re sponsoring Glastonbury Pride by providing printed collaterals and promotional materials. Glastonbury is the home of our Jump Somerset division, a home we couldn’t be prouder of—contributing to a wonderful, inclusive local event like the annual Pride parade is intrinsic to our ethos of giving back to our community while upholding our B Corp JEDI pledge.

We firmly believe in supporting the rights of queer individuals not as a political statement or a pawn for inclusivity, but as fundamental human rights which should be guaranteed to every person, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.
