Jump x Great British Beach Clean 2023: Reviving the Coastlines with Sustainable Efforts

The Annual Gathering – Sun, Sand, Sea, and Sustainability

It's that time of year again! We're heading to the beach for some sun, sand, sea, and… trash?

Yup – you read that right. We're super proud of our "regenerative business model" here at Jump, which sometimes means getting our hands dirty.

Sustainability and Beyond: Jump’s Regenerative Mission

Sustainability, while crucial, is just the tip of the iceberg for us. Our mission is to go beyond the norm to rejuvenate and revive the systems and resources we interact with. We're not just about reducing harm; we're committed to creating a net-positive impact on the environment, society, and the economy. It's about cultivating thriving ecosystems, replenishing invaluable resources, and uplifting social well-being. Our mission is simple – to give back more than we ever take.

Achieving Tangible Goals: Litter Picking and Environmental Stewardship

In pursuit of this ambitious vision, we've set a tangible goal for every member of the Jump team: completing a noteworthy 24 hours of litter picking each year. This isn't just a task; it's a vital aspect of our regenerative mission, ensuring that we remove significantly more waste from the environment than we generate through our operations.

As we forge ahead in 2023, our dedication to this cause is crystal clear. Through our continuous clean-up efforts, we’ve invested 106 hours in picturesque Hertfordshire, scenic Pembrokeshire, charming Somerset, and captivating Cornwall. We’re firmly on track to achieve our ambitious team target of 228 hours by Christmas.

The Importance of Environmental Clean-up

  • Safeguarding ecosystems by removing litter and waste.
  • Creating cleaner, safer environments for communities.
  • Preventing pollution and preserving water quality.
  • Enhancing natural beauty, supporting local tourism.
  • Raising awareness, promoting responsible waste disposal, and encouraging recycling.

Jump's Participation in Great British Beach Clean 2023

We're thrilled to announce our enthusiastic participation in the annual Great British Beach Clean 2023, a noteworthy week-long citizen science event that resonates with our values. This event unites individuals and communities in numerous beach clean-ups throughout the UK.

Rallying the Team: Next-Level Commitment

Last year, in September 2022, a few of our team joined a Marine Conservation Society arranged clean-up. We had so much fun that this year we're taking our commitment to the next level. We're rallying the entire Jump team for our event!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 23, as we converge on the stunning beaches of Weston-super-Mare.

Collaborative Coastal Conservation

While summer tourism undoubtedly benefits local communities economically, it can also exert severe pressure on the delicate coastal environment. Teaming up with esteemed partners, such as [Ecologi & Somerset Council][BT1], we're eagerly anticipating a day that combines both enjoyable moments and practical endeavors aimed at revitalizing and preserving the enchanting allure of this cherished coastal area. Our shared enthusiasm is a testament to the transformative potential of regenerative business practices and their positive impact on our local environments.

Join the Movement: Clean, Healthy, Sustainable Planet

So, it's time to get to work, collaborate as a unified team, and leave a meaningful imprint on our mission to create a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable planet.

Smart. Sustainable. Mindful. Print.
